[Note: On 20 May 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA, Mary Wowk, dau. of William and Julia (Kowalchite) Wowk married Louis Galan.]

Graveside services for Mary Brumbaugh, 72, a native of Avella, Washington County, who retired in 1976 as a florist in Ridgefield, Conn., will be at noon tomorrow at Uniondale Cemetery, North Side. A resident of Altoona, she died of anemia yesterday in Mercy Hospital there. Surviving are her husband, Vance; a daughter, Mary Beth Stagg of Alexandria, Va.; two sons, Russell Bodine of Garrett Park, Md., and William Bodine of Fort Washington, Md.; two sisters, Stella Kushik and Helen Downing, both of Pittsburgh, and six grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Leukemia Society of America, 2 Gateway Center, 13th Floor, Pittsburgh 15222.

William H. Bodine, 89, of Toms River passed away Monday, May 28, 2007, in Bey Lea Village, Toms River. Visiting will be Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Brick. Cremation is at Ocean County Memorial Park. Born in Teaneck, Mr. Bodine lived in Morristown before moving to Toms River in March 2007. He was the president of the Savings Association League of New York State for 10 years, retiring in 1973. A Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a former member of the VFW Post 15031 and American Legion Post 351 of Seaside Heights. Mr. Bodine was predeceased by his sister, Audrey Mangione. Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" Bodine (nee D'Antuono); his children, William H. III, Rusty, Billy, Lisa Maria Duffy-Stutski and her husband, Jay Stutski, and Mary Beth; his brother, Jim Stretton, and granddaughter, Carina Leigh Duffy. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Legion Post 351, 400 Bay Blvd., Seaside Heights, N.J. 08751 in Bill Bodine's memory would be appreciated.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Bodine was born on June 14, 1938 and was raised in the city of Newark, NJ. She attended Central High School in Newark and graduated with her diploma in 1956. Throughout her life, she volunteered her time at community events, guided families through grief, and shared many home-cooked meals. She constantly expressed her love and had countless stories to share. While her life was full of academic and career-based successes, she was the most happy with her family surrounding her. Jackie was an ever-loved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, and community member. She possessed a sense of humor, a wildly unique style, and the ability to light up a room with ease which will never be forgotten. She passed away peacefully at the age of 85. Jackie began her career in New York City as an Executive Secretary and while employed in NYC, she attended the John Robert Powers School of Modeling and LaSalle University - Extension School for court stenography. In her career in banking and finance, she became the youngest woman to be promoted to a corporate officer position, completing 8 years of study in 3 years at night while attending and graduating from the American Savings & Loan Institute, School of Banking & Finance, Newark. To further expand her business career, she added a proud position as a NJ real estate agent and broker. Jackie was married to her first husband, Peter Latori in 1963, and had her first daughter, Lisa, in 1964. After her second marriage to Bill Bodine II in 1969 and while living in West Nyack, NY, she had her son Bill III in 1971. She served 3-year terms and was elected President for one term to the Clarkstown Board of Education in New City, NY. Her interest in the school system was on behalf of her children, and this is what spearheaded her direct involvement in her local communities. During her summers at the shore in the 1980s, Jackie and Bill held the joy of running Bil-Lee's Ice Cream in Ortley Beach, NJ, a place and time in her life she reminisced on often. In 1993, Jackie became a grandparent to her one and only grandchild, Carina. After losing her parents, she became a New Jersey Licensed Cemeterian, Family Service Counselor with Hollywood Memorial Park until 2003. After the passing of her husband Bill in 2007, Jackie joined Ocean County Memorial Park Waretown & Toms River as a Family Service Counselor. She represented Memorial Park at the Southern Ocean, Barnegat, and Toms River Chambers of Commerce. In 2011, Jackie was honored by being elected to serve on the Executive Board of Albert Music Hall - Pinelands Cultural & Historical Society in Waretown, NJ. Every Saturday evening she spent her time volunteering and loved being surrounded by country and bluegrass music. Jackie is predeceased by her mother, Frieda Grace Mercadante-D'Antuono, and father, John D'Antuono, William H. Bodine II, and Peter Latori. Surviving is her brother, Michael D'Antuono & wife, Betty; daughter, Lisa Latori; son, William H Bodine III & wife, Stefanie; granddaughter, Carina Duffy, and many cousins, nieces & nephews. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 28th at Ocean County Memorial Park (280 Wells Mills Rd, Waretown, NJ 08758). Visitation will be held from 1p-2p with a short service at 2p. Note: Daughter Lisa Marie was the natural daughter of Peter F. Latori and Jacqueline D'Antuono. New Jersey marriage records record the marriage of Peter F. Latori and Raimonda J. Dantouno in October 1963 in South Orange, Essex County. The Asbury Park Press of 3 Feb 1988 reported that "Mr. and Mrs. William H. Bodine, 1830 Grand Central Ave., have announced the engagement of their daughter Lisa Marie Latori Bodine, here, to George J. Duffy, Point Pleasant. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Duffy, Hamilton Township. Miss Bodine is also the daughter of Peter F. Latori, Caldwell." From New Jersey Marriage Records: George J. Duffy Jr. AND Lisa M. Latori were married 29 Oct 1988 in Lakewood Township, Ocean County. And her second marriage: John Stutski Jr. AND Lisa Marie Latori were married 21 Oct 2000 in Point Pleasant Beach, Ocean County. The 2008 obituary of Peter F. Latori in the Newark Star-Ledger names his daughter Lisa Stutski and her husband John and granddaughter Carina Duffy.
