Services for Curtis E. Rogers, 80, brother of Lora Philbrick of Odessa, were at 10:30 a.m. today in the 22nd and Austin Streets Church of Christ in Colorado City. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Midland Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home in Colorado City. Rogers died Tuesday in a Portales, N.M. hospital following a brief illness. Born June 15, 1897, in Bosque County, he moved to Colorado City in 1905. He lived in Midland from 1953 to 1972, then returned to Colorado City. He married Millie Bodine Aug. 3, 1916, in Mitchell County. She died in 1927. He then married Lois Hoover Jan. 30, 1928, in Colorado City. His son, Bill Rogers, died Dec. 9, 1972. Rogers was a retired farmer and a member of the 22nd Street Church of Christ. Survivors also include his wife, two daughters, two sons, another sister, two brothers, 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
