SHARPE Mrs. Caryl Ann Bodine Sharpe, 63, passed away Friday, June 28, 2002 in her home in Crownsville, MD. She was born July 27, 1938 in Gainesville, FL, and was raised in Jacksonville. She graduated from Florida State University and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Mrs. Sharpe had been a graphic designer before retiring. She enjoyed travel, gardening, and painting. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Carl S. Bodine of Jacksonville, and her daughter, Lauren Sharpe Lasher if Columbia, MD. A graveside funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6th, 2002 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Gainesville, FL. Arrangements by Hardage- Giddens Edgewood Chapel. Caryl Ann Bodine Sharpe, 63, a Crownsville resident for 18 years, died June 28 at her home. Mrs. Sharpe was born in Gainesville, Fla., and had previously lived in Lexington, Ky. She attended Florida State University in Tallahassee and received her bachelor of arts degree in art and art history in 1960. She worked as a graphic designer and artist, retiring in 1993. Mrs. Sharpe was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, the New Annapolitans, from 1984 to 1986 and the American Association of University Women from 1984 to 1990. She enjoyed painting, gardening and gourmet cooking. Mrs. Sharpe is survived by her daughter, Lauren Sharpe Lasher of Columbia; her mother, Katherine Voyle Bodine of Jacksonville; and her former spouse Lawrence Grady Sharpe of Salem, Ore. She was the daughter of the late Carl S. Bodine. A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Gainesville. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Gainesville. Arrangements were made by the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
