Gary P. Bodine, a longtime Chatsworth resident, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. He was 51. He was a member of the Woodland Township Fire Co. and EMS Stations 292 and 298 and served as Lieutenant in the EMS. A kind and generous man, Gary loved trips to the casinos, all sports, especially NASCAR, and any time he could spend with his loving family and friends. Son of the late Claude and Jacqueline Bodine, he is survived by a sister, Karen Tupper (Bob); a brother, Thomas Bodine; an uncle, Paul Bodine; and several nieces and nephews. Although not immediate family members, there were many people in his life who Gary treated as such. Of those are his girlfriend, Anna Clark; a daughter, Jennifer Clark; a son, Donald Palfy; a mother, Anna Mae Palfy; two sisters, Patty Hock, Dawn Palfy; two brothers, Robert Palfy, Thomas Toth; a nephew, Zack Zahirny; and a good friend, Bob Clark. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Interment will follow in the Chatsworth Cemetery. Friends and relatives may visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening and again from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. Perinchief Chapels Mount Holly.
