Miss Betty Jean Scott and Miss Margaret Jane Scott, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Scott, RD 2, Auburn, became brides recently at their parents' home. Miss Margaret Jane Scott was wed to Charles Leslie Edmunds, son of Mr, and Mrs. Hector Edmunds, 7 VanDuyne Ave., while her sister, Miss Betty Jean Scott, was married to David Robert Bodine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bodine, Owasco. The Rev. Richard Blocker, pastor of the Sand Beach Chapel, officiated at the ceremony.

David R. Bodine, 48, husband of Mrs. Betty Scott Bodine of East Lake Road, Owasco, died Tuesday, January 29, 1980, at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, after a brief illness. Born in Auburn he had resided in Owasco most of his life. He was the son of the late Howard C. and Ruth Ackerman Bodine. He was a graduate of Moravia High School Class of 1949. He joined the the New York State Police December 16, 1954 and was assigned to Troop D, Oneida and served at stations including New Hartford, Waterloo and Auburn where he was located for 17 years before retiring June 4, 1975. Since that time be had operated a farm in Owasco. He was elected town justice in 1971. Mr. Bodine was a member of the New York State Association of Magistrates, The Police Benevalent Association, President of the Cayuga County Sportsmen's Association and a member of its board of directors, a member of the Finger Lakes Chapter of National Turkey Federation, Association of Former New York State Police and a member of the Owasco Reformed Church. Surviving besides bis wife are: two daughters, Mrs. Anton (Linda) Tewes and Patricia Bodine: two sons, Gregg and Jim Bodine; one grandson, Brian Tewes; three sisters, Mrs. Herbert Pearce, Auburn, Mrs. George Dankan, Tuscon, Arizona, Mrs. Arthur Snover, Scipio; two brothers, George and Harry Bodine, Moravia and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. February 2, 1980 at the Owasco Reformed Church. Burial will be in Owasco Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Langham Funeral Home, 91 E. Genesee Street. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the Owasco Reformed Church in his memory.
