Dave Bodine sent this on to me hoping I might be able to help you. I have included here what information I have on this line. My research into Hunterton County, NJ has been limited and I have nothing further at this time.
WILLIAM BODINE, born c1809 in New Jersey. Living 1850 in East and West Amwell Township and in 1860 in East Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, NJ.
m. Julia Smith, whose father Moses Smith is named in her death record in East Amwell Township. She died there of consumption 27 Feb 1864 aged 42.

AUGUSTUS BODINE, born c1844 in New Jersey. He was working in 1870 as a laborer in Pennington, Hopewell Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. He died there 1894-1900.
m. Josephine Drake, born Sept. 1862 in New Jersey. She was a widow living in Pennington in 1900 and had borne 3 children, all then living with her.
Their children were Charles Burroughs (29 Jan 1890), Lucy A. (Dec 1892), William R. (Sept 1894).
CHARLES BURROUGHS BODINE, born 29 Jan 1890 in Pennington, Mercer County, New Jersey. In 1942 he registered for the World War II draft as Charles Burroughs Bodine, born 29 Jan 1890 in Pennington, resident of 98 Stevens Avenue, Jersey City, NJ, married to Mrs. Florence Bodine.

Hi Dave, I have a question regarding my mother Florence Bodine. It says that she was married to William Van Huffman at age 15. My mother never got around to telling me about this. She always told me there was a story about a marriage and a baby and she was going to tell me all about it. But she passed before she got a chance. I was wondering if there is anyway to find out if they had a child or if he has family still around. Thanks so much.

Hey Dave,
I gave it a shot, but found no reference to a baby. William and Florence lived in California and there is no record of a child born to them there. They divorced, obviously, as she remarried in 1953 and he lived until 1960. I did find that he remarried to a woman named Hazel and that she was living in Detroit in 1988. No record of her death under the name Van Huffman or Huffman so she may also have remarried. William Van Huffman was buried in Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit.

William Van Huffman served in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserve from 1942 to 1946 and 1948 to 1949. He was buried in Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit. At the time of his death he was married to Hazel J. Huffman of Detroit.
