Subject: ASHER BODINE
Hello,
I have an old deed of my great-great grandfather's property in Grayson County, KY that states that he purchased his property from "Asher Bodine." Unfortunately, the deed was a copy, made after a Civil War battle burned down
the courthouse. The exact purchase date wasn't listed and the original documents of Grayson County were burned. It would have to have been between 1836 (when gg grandpa was 16) and 1840, when he is listed as the head of
household (age 21) on that property.
Do you think this could be your Asher Bodine?
