Richard R. (Bo), age 64, Del City, died Aug. 26, at Veteran's Hospital. Retired from Tinker AFB June 1, 1983, after completing more than 38 years both military and civilian service. He began his career during WWII as a tail gunner on B17 aircraft, and was a POW for 15 months after being shot down over Germany. He received the Purple Heart medal during his military career. He greatly loved his family, and is survived by his wife of 27 years, Joyce, of the home; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Rita A. and Raymond A. Smith of OKC; 1 son, Kenneth R. Bodine of the home; a grandson, Jason Smith; 2 sisters, Virginia McGonagle of Philadelphia, Pa., Jean Bell, Wildwood, N.J. He was well thought of by all who knew him. He will be missed immensely. Graveside services will be 10am Saturday at Arlington Memory Gardens. Directed by Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home.
