Muriel Bodine, aged 24 in 1930 and 34 in 1940, lived with her parents in Neptune City, Monmouth County, employed as an insurance stenographer in1930 and secretary-bus office in 1940.

On 14 Feb 1942, Alfred Sanborn Gant of Avon, New Jersey registered for the World War II Draft. He reported he was born 20 Sept 1904 in Osbornville, New Jersey, worked for Chest Day Company at Fort Monmouth, and named Mrs. Sarah Fisher of Ocean Grove, as his next of kin.

Miss Muriel V. Bodine, daughter of John Bodine, 64 Laurel avenue, Neptune City, and the late Mrs Bodine, was married Dec. 4 to Alfred Gant, also of Neptune City, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Gant. The ceremony was performed at 7 o'clock in the evening at the Neptune Methodist church, the Rev. S. A. Smalley, at a double ring ceremony.

Wall Township---Alfred S. Gant, 65, of 1516 Walnut St., died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in Osbornville, Brick Township, and had lived here for 30 years. He was a retired carpenter and former part owner of the Gant Brothers Fisheries, Neptune. Mr. Gant was a member of the Belmar Presbyterian Church and the Carpenter's Union, Local 2250, here. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Muriel Bodine Gant; a daughter, Miss Susan Gant, at home; two brothers, Snowden Gant, Neptune City, and Robert Gant, here, and a sister, Mrs. Ray Bennett, Neptune City. The Richard C. Hoidal Funeral Home, Ocean Township, is in charge of arrangements.

MURIEL VIVIAN BODINE GANT,97, of MIDDLETOWN, formerly of Wall, died Friday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was employed as a medical secretary by Dr. McKenzie, retiring years ago. She was active in the Pride of Wall, AARP, and other senior groups in the area. Born in Neptune City, she was a longtime resident of Wall before moving to Middletown in 1995, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law and two grandsons. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred "Al" Gant her parents, Lydia Palmer and John Wyckoff Bodine and two brothers, John Wyckoff Bodine, Jr. and Robert Bodine. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Richard Roesler of Middletown and two grandsons, Jared and Travis Roesler. Visitation will be held Wednesday at Johnson-McGinley Funeral Home, 2652 Highway 138, Wall. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Glendola Cemetery, Wall.
