Mr. Truman Bodine, age 76, of Colorado City, died Saturday morning in a local care center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Spear and Reverend Bill Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. Mr. Bodine was born March 3, 1928 in Colorado City to Lenn and Stella Hooker Bodine and had been a lifelong resident of Mitchell County. He married Margaret Dean on March 11, 1949 in Colorado City. He along with his bothers owned and operated the Bodine Bros. Dairy. He was very active in the First Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He was also very active in the Gideons, Campers on Mission and Mission Service Corp. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Bodine of Colorado City; a son, Blake and wife, Kelli Bodine of Abilene; five daughters, Vickie and husband, Dale Bynum of New Braunfels, Brenda Kirschbaum of Wimberly, Patricia and husband, David Redwine of Andrews, Marla and husband, Daniel Stevens of Montgomery and Nina and husband, Alan Lee of Lubbock; a brother, Ed Bodine of Colorado City; a sister, Aleene Monroe of Raton, NM; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lenn, Jr and Homer. Pallbearers will be Kip Bynum, Brent Henager, Chad Redwine, Zach Bynum, Chris Lee, Joel Stevens, Aaron Kirschbaum and Joe Dean. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Gideons International or Hospice House, 903 N.
