Clarence Reeder Bodine, 27, son of George Bodine & Jennie Worthington AND Isabella Penrose, 20, dau. of Owen H. Penrose & Jenette Jemison, were married 18 June 1926 at St. Andrew's.

In 1930, Clarence Bodine worked as a fireman with the Morrisville Fire Department in Bucks County.

Clarence Reeder Bodine of Morrisville, PA registered for the World War II Draft on 16 Jan 1942. He reported he was born 20 June 1898 in Penns Park, PA, worked for Princeton Worsted Mill, and named Isabelle Bodine as his next of kin. [Note: He signed his name as Reeder not Reader.]

Clarence R. Bodine, 75, of Homestead, Fla., formerly of Morrisville, died yesterday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Miami, Fla. Born in Penns Park, Pa., he was a Morrisville resident most of his life before moving to Florida eight years ago. He was a retired stationary engineer for General Electric Co, of Trenton. A veteran of World War I. Mr. Bodine was a charter member of Morrisville Memorial Post 6176 VFW. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans of Pennsylvania and the World War I Veterans of Pennsylvania. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Isabelle Penrose Bodine; a son, Charles Nelson Bodine of Arlington, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Doris Stradling of Morrisville: three brothers, Frank of Morrisville, Amos of Trenton and Elbert of Langhorne; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Degg of Trenton and Mrs Cynthia Wells of Lambertville; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 45 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville. Rev. Dr. Clifford G. Pollock, pastor of Morrisville Flrst Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Morrisville Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral chapel.

MORRISVILLE, Pa.---Isabelle Penrose Bodine, 82, also of Homestead, Fla., died Thursday in the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills. Born in Trenton, Mrs. Bodine was a resident of both Morrisville, Pa., and Homestead, Fla. She was a retired department manager for Dunham's Department Store of Trenton, where she was employed for 16 years. She was also a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge in Homestead. Daughter of the late Amos and Janet Jamison Penrose, and wife of the late Clarence Bodine, she is survived by a daughter, Doris Stradling of Morrisville, Pa., with whom she resided; and a son, Charles Bodine of Homestead, Fla., with whom she also resided; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a sister, Delores Snook of Trenton; five brothers, Amos Penrose of Homestead, Fla., Robert Penrose of Hamilton Square, Erwin Penrose of Lawrence, Jack Penrose of Ewing and Jonathan Penrose of Crestwood; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville. The Rev. Richard S. Kauffman, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Morrisville, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Morrisville Cemetery, Morrisville. Friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Isabelle P. Bodine, born 26 Nov 1905, of Alexandria Twp., Hunterdon County, died 29 Sept 1988 in Pemberton Twp., Burlington County, aged 82 years. [Note: Browns Mills, her place of death, is an unincorporated community in Pemberton Twp.]
