Earl Bodine was buried in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, Macon County. He was a laborer, member and past president of Local 159. Earl and Doris Bodine were divorced and Doris subsequently married Lloyd Songer and Mr. Remick.

DECATUR -- Doris Evelyn Remick, 77, of Decatur died 9:15 p.m. Friday (April 10, 1998) in Fair Havens Christian Home. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home with visitation two hours before services. Burial will be in Croniger Cemetery, Cisco. Mrs. Remick was born in Richmond, Ind., on March 6, 1921, the daughter of Roscoe and Goldia Pickett Fasnacht. Surviving are her sons, Jerry Songer and wife Betty of Cerro Gordo; Jack Songer and wife Luz of LaHoya, Calif.; daughters, Jeannie McCormick; Susan Ater and husband Mike, Cindy Dell and husband Mike; Robyn Bodine and companion Donnie Tate, all of Decatur; brother, Gene Fasnacht of Decatur; sisters, Colleen Erwin of Decatur; Marilyn Campbell and husband Ed of Puyallup, Wash.; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, three brothers and one sister.

DECATUR - Earl D. Bodine, 75, of Decatur died 11:10 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 24, 2000) in his residence. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: Decatur Memorial Hospital/Visiting Nurse Association Hospice or Macon County Special Olympics. Earl was born June 22, 1925, in Decatur, the son of James F. and Sylvia P. Kight Bodine. He was a laborer, member and past president of Local 159. He recently received recognition for 50-plus years membership. Earl married Dorothy Wells Aug. 26, 1978, in Decatur. Surviving are his wife; son, David Earl Bodine of Springfield; daughters, Susan and husband Mike Ater of Decatur; Cindy and Mike Dell of Westville; Robyn Bodine and companion, Donnie Tate of Decatur; stepsons, Raymond Baker and wife Brenda of Decatur; Roger Baker of Harristown; Scott Baker and wife Tina of Decatur; brother, Richard Bodine and wife Dorothy of Decatur; sister, Lora Ellen Waller of Decatur; brother-in-law, Gene Wells and wife Mary of Decatur; special nephews, Richard, Mike, Jack and Pat Bodine; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, two sisters and special nephew, Gary Bodine.

GREENVIEW - Margaret Ann Bodine, 80, of Greenview died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at her daughter's home in Edwardsville. She was born Nov. 25, 1924, in Springfield, the daughter of Robert and Luella Murphy Heffernon. A son and daughter, Robert and Regina Lofgren, preceded her in death. Mrs. Bodine was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Disabled American Veterans. Survivors: daughter, Roxanna (husband, James) Sorenson of Edwardsville; three sons, Charles (wife, Diane) Lofgren of Freeport, E. David Bodine of Minnesota and Dayton Bodine of Greenview; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Memorial services: 6 p.m. Friday, Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, the Rev. J. Lloyd Tomer officiating.
