Arley Bodine was buried in South Hickory Hill Christian Church Cemetery, Jefferson County. In 1910, he was George A. Bodine, age 9. He was married under the name George A. Bodine. Mary (Beckley) Bodine was the daughter of Lewis and Della (Melton) Beckley.

George Bodine, of 1515 Perkins Avenue, died at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 64 years and four months. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Marsh Harpole officiating. Burial will be in South Hickory Hill cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Bodine was bom Jan. 25, 1902, in Arkansas, the son of Frank and Dicey Bodine. He is survived by four sons, Bobbie A. and Bennie Lee Bodine of Mt Vernon, Lloyd Orval Bodine of Marion, IL, and William T. Bodine of Evansville, Ind., two daughters, Mary Louise Bodine of Ashley and Delia Marie Thomas of Cleveland, O.; two brothers, Steve Bodine of Woodlawn and John Bodine of Indiana; two sisters, Mae Wehunt and Ruth Casada, both of this city; and eight grandchildren. Mr. Bodine was a welder with the Mt. Vernon Car Mfg. Co., and the Devine Co.

Mrs. Mary Creel, 61, of Ashley, died Sunday morning at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be held at Hogan Funeral Home in Ashley at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Everett Lemay officiating. Burial will be in South Hickory Hill Cemetery near Mt. Vernon. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today. Mrs. Creel was born Nov. 6, 1913, in Enfield, the daughter of Louis and Delia May (Mellen) Beckley. She was married to Frank Creel, who survives. Besides her husband, Mrs. Creel is survived by four sons, Billy Tom Bodine, Mt. Vernon, Lloyd Orville Bodine, Vandalia, Bobbie Allen Bodine, Wayne City, and Bennie Lee Bodine, Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Delia Marie Thomas, Geneva, Ohio, and Mrs. Louise Russell, Mt. Vernon; and one half brother, James Barker, Mt. Vernon; and 13 grandchildren.
