Miss Margaret J. Bodine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse F. Bodine, 113 Washington Street, Deepwater, N.J. and Dr. Dorson S. Mills were married Saturday at 2 p.m. in Emmanuel Methodist Church, Penns Grove. The Rev. G. Stanley MCCleave officiated assisted by the Rev. John W. Stamm.

Dorson Speary Mills, 82, of 48 Lawrence Corner Road, Elmer, NJ died at his home on Saturday, September 8, 2012. He was the son of the late William A. and Mary D. Mills of Elmer. A lifelong resident of Elmer, he was a member of the Elmer Presbyterian Church for 73 years, serving as an elder for 54 years. He was a graduate of Bridgeton High School, Dickinson College, and Hahnemann Medical College. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserve Medical Corp from 1955-1957 before returning to Elmer to open his medical practice in 1957. He was a Charter Diplomate and life member of the American Academy of Family Practice. He served as president of the medical staff of Elmer Community Hospital and as president of the Salem County Medical Society. Since his retirement in 1996 he served in the Medical Reserve Corps of Salem County. He was a life member of the Elmer Ambulance Corp, which he helped establish. He was also a member of Elmer Lodge #160 F. &A.M.; Scottish Rite Consistory of South Jersey; and Shrine Crescent Temple, Trenton. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret, of Elmer; three sons: Robert and wife Marjorie, of Forest VA; William and wife Beth, of Olean, NY; and David and wife Sheila, of Lawrenceville, NJ. He is also survived six grandchildren: Joshua, Jessica, Shaun, Laura, Michael, and Timothy. A graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family. A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held on Friday, September 14, at 11:00 at Elmer Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elmer Presbyterian Church or to a charity of the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of H.T. Margaret Jean Mills, 89, died at Meadow Lakes Nursing Home in East Windsor, NJ, on Friday, January 5, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Jesse F. and Myrtle H. Bodine of Deepwater and the wife of the late Dr. Dorson S. Mills of Elmer. Peggy Mills was born, raised, and spent most of her life in Salem County, nearly 60 years in Elmer and Pittsgrove Township. She was a graduate of Penns Grove Regional High School and Goldey Commercial College in Wilmington, DE. After graduation, she worked as a medical secretary in Wilmington. She was an active member of Elmer Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir, served as deacon, youth group advisor, and Vacation Bible School superintendent. In 2014 she was honored as a 50-year member of the congregation. While in Elmer, she was an active member of the Elmer School PTA and the Salem County Medical Society Auxiliary. She served on the board of directors for the Visiting Homemakers of Salem County and was a Cub Scout den mother. She also worked at her husband's medical practice. In 1967, Peggy and Dorson built a home on Lawrence Corner Road. The ample yard hosted family reunions, church picnics, and Little League practices. At various times, f five generations of family members lived in or visited the home. In her later years, much of her time was joyfully devoted to caring for her growing extended family. Peggy is survived by three sons: Robert and wife Marjorie, of Forest VA; William and wife Beth, of Olean, NY; and David and wife Sheila, of Lawrenceville, NJ. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Joshua, Jessica, Shaun, Laura, Michael, and Timothy and by six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family. A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 3:00 at Elmer Presbyterian Church, 107 Chestnut St., Elmer, NJ, 08318. Rev. Mouris Yousef will officiate.
