Hi, when my husband's niece visited rom California, she mentioned that she had been doing genealogy on the O'Laughlins of Chicago, their family. She also said that she thought I was eligible for the DAR. After a good deal of laughter, she backed up her claim and I think my family might be related to yours. My mother was Viola Bodine, her mother Nellie Preston Bodine was married to Howard Bodine. Family legend always claimed that they were French Hugonauts (not correct spelling) and were "Pineys" from the Jersey pines. I also have a family coat of arms with the name Le Bodine. Apparently, my gggg grandfather was John Bodine, who was a captain in the Revolutionary War. I live in East Windsor, a couple miles from Cranbury NJ where John was born. I do intend to go to the Historical Society in Cranbury to inquire further, but I noticed that you have been doing the genealogy online and thought I might email you. I would be very happy to hear from you if you have time, Best wishes, Nadine Sauer O'laughlin.
