The marriage of Stockton Bodine and Miss Rose Ellen Lovett was announced in the Bordentown "Register" of 1 Dec 1939. Rose (Lovett) Bodine was the daughter of Thomas and Rose Lovett.

On 16 Oct 1940, Stogden Robert Bodine of Bordentown, New Jersey registered for the World War 2 Draft. He reported he was born 11 Aug 1912 in Bordentown, was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad and named Mrs. Rose Ellen Bodine as his next of kin.

BORDENTOWN--Rose Bodine, 69, of Edgewood Trailer Park, died Friday in Hamilton Hospital. She was a native of England, and has lived in this area for the last 62 years. She was a member of the Bordentown Township Senior Citizens, and the national association AARP. She is survived by her husband, Stogden R. Bodine, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Hartmann Funeral Home, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Robert McKay of Christ the Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Bordentown Cemetery, and friends may call on Monday, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributons may be made to the Deborah Heart and Lung Research Center, Browns Mills.

BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP---Stogden R. Bodine, 85, died Thursday at home. Born in Bordentown, he was a lifelong resident. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a freight handler with the Pennsylvania Railroad for many years and recently retired as a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Ervin V, Hamilton American Legion Post 26, Bordentown; the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085, IOOF Lodge 22, Burlington; Bordentown Senior Citizens and the American Association of Retired Persons. He enjoyed bowling. Son of the late Howard and Nellie Preston Bodine , and husband of the late Rose Lovett Bodine, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Frances Bodine of Browns Mills; a sister, Viola Campo of Bordentown Township; and three nieces, Nadine Sauer of Cranbury, Janice Campo of Bordentown Township, and Sara Groslinger of California. Interment will be in Bordentown Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hartmann Funeral Home of Bordentown, 40 Crosswicks St. Memorial contributions may be made to Browns Mills United Methodist Church, 2 Pemberton-Browns Mills Road, Browns Mills, N.J. 08015.
