Howard Bodine, 19 and single, was living 1900 with his parents in Bordentown, Burlington County and employed as a carpenter. In 1910, now married, Howard Bodine was living with his family near his parents in Bordentown and engaged in carpentry. In 1920, he worked as a carpenter in a mill in Bordentown. His wife, Nellie, reported she had borne 1 child, then living. On 12 Sept 1918, he registered for the World War I draft in Bordentown. Nellie (Preston) Bodine was the daughter of Abraham M. and Mary Louise (Herbert) Preston, residents of Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey in 1900. Nellie's sister, Mary Catherine Preston, was the wife of Frederick Y. Bodine (1868-after 1936).

BORDENTOWN, Feb. 16.---Howard A. Bodine, Sr., husband of Nellie Preston Bodine, of 57 Union Street, died suddenly yesterday afternoon while at work at Roebling. He was in his 63d year and, besides his wife, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Clee and Mrs. Dominic Campo; two sons, Stogden R. Bodine, of Bordentown, and Howard A. Bodine, Jr., in the U.S. Coast Guard, stationed at Savannah, Ga.; his mother, Mrs. Sarah Bodine; two sisters, Mrs. Cornelius G. Dunn and Miss Emma Bodine; a brother, Harry H. Bodine, and two grandchildren, George P. and Frank A. Clee, Jr. The funeral will be held from his home on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment will be in Bordentown Cemetery, under direction of John A. Hartmann. Services will be conducted by the Rev. A. L. Banyard, of the Christ Episcopal Church.

BORDENTOWN--Mrs. Nellie S. Bodine, 72, of 57 Union Street died yesterday after a long illness. Widow of Howard A. Bodine, Sr., she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Clee and Mrs. Dominic Campo; two sons, Stogden and Howard A. Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Mitchell, Mrs. Mary Bodine and Mrs. Augusta Hendrickson, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Hartmann Funeral Home, 40 Crosswicks Street, with the Rev. James E. Purdy of Christ Episcopal Church officiating. Interment will be in Bordentown Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow evening.
