In April 1930, George Bodine, age 24 and single, was living with his parents in Pennsauken, Camden County, and employed as a clerk for the Talking Machine Company. In April 1940, aged 34 and single, he still lived with his parents in Pennsauken, but now worked as the manager of a coal company. On 7 April 1942, George Bodine, a resident of Camden County, NJ and single, enlisted in the U.S. Army at Fort Dix, New Jersey.

Services for George R. Bodine, 60, of 4300 Willis Avenue, Pennsauken, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Davies Funeral Chapel, 4522 Westfield Avenue, Pennsauken, where friends may call tomorrow night. Masonic services will be at 8:15 p.m. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. Contributions may be made to Pennsauken Lions Scholarship Fund, c/o Holly House, Pennsauken. Mr. Bodine, a fuel oil distributor for 19 years, died Sunday in Cooper Hospital. He was a member of the Fuel Merchants Association of New Jersey, treasurer of Pennsauken Lions Club, and member of Pennsauken Methodist Church, Universal Lodge 216, F&AM; Crescent Shrine, and Excelsior Consistory. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Helen C.; a daughter, Mrs. Elaine H. Dickson; his mother, Mrs. Iva V. Bodine of Pennsauken, and a sister.
