In April 1910, Joseph Bodine, his wife and two children, were living in Camden, Camden County where he worked as a railroad car inspector. They had been married 5 years and Emily had borne 2 children. On 12 Sept 1918, Joseph Bodine registered for the World War I draft as a resident of Camden. He gave his birth date as 9 Dec 1884, 2 years younger than the Dec 1882 recorded in the 1900 census. His occupation was that of a weigher for the Campbell Company and he and his family lived on 833 Kimber, in Camden. By Jan 1920, he was a widower, living with his son Henry in the home of his aunt Sadie Dowling in Collinswood, Camden County and working as a foreman with a soup company. In April 1930, he was a patient in the Lakeland General Hospital, Gloucester Township, Camden County. Emily (Parker) Bodine was the daughter of Henry and Annie Parker.

BODINE.---On March 7, 1919, Emily A. Bodine, beloved wife of Joseph Bodine and daughter of Henry and Annie Myers Parker aged 30 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, on Monday afternoon, at 3 o'clock, from the family residence, 833 Kimber street, Camden, N.J. Interment at Evergreen. Friends may call Sunday evening.
