Notes for: Samuel Kellum / Bodine

DNA testing shows that Samuel's father was a Bodine from the Medis line of Bodines. So Samuel's father was probably John Bodine, not Benjamin Kellum. This probably means that Sarah and David, Samuel's siblings, were probably fathered by John Bodine, too.

From Ronny Bodine:

Samuel Bodine was living 1880 with his parents in Camden, Camden County, working as a laborer. By 1885 he had moved to Philadelphia where he was living in June 1900, working as a policeman. At that time, Elizabeth stated she had borne 3 children, all then living. By April 1910 he had moved to Clementon Township, Camden County where he was to remain and through April 1930 and where he was a township constable. On 13 Sept 1924, Mrs. Lizzie Bodine, of Clementon, New Jersey applied for a passport and furnished dates and places of birth for herself and her husband. The passport was approved 17 Sept 1924. (Passport Applications, 1906-1925, no. 476074) The death of Samuel Bodine was recorded in the records of the Wooster Funeral Home, Park Clementon, New Jersey. He was buried in Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken, Camden County.
