Marlyn Louise Bodine, daughter of John F. Bodine and the late Mrs. Bodine, Conowingo, Md. and George Kenneth Jones, son of Mrs. reba Jones and the late George Jones, this place, were married Saturday at 4 p.m. at Grace Memorial Episcopal church, Darlington, Md. The double ring ceremong was performed by the rector, Rev. Frederick Meyer, in a candlelight setting of white flowers.

WHITEFORD, MD- G. Kenneth Jones, 74, died Friday, March 12, 2004, at the Gilchrist Center in Towson, Md. He was the husband of Marlyn (Bodine) Jones. They observed their 48th wedding anniversary June 25, 2003. Mr. Jones was born November 1, 1929, in Whiteford, Md., a son of the late George and Reba (Allison) Jones. He was a 1947 graduate of Slate Ridge High School in Cardiff, Md. He later received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Baltimore and in 1962, received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. In 1963, he purchased the former Marie D. Burton Insurance Agency in Delta and operated it as Ken Jones Insurance Agency. He retired from his business in 1995. Ken was a member of the Grace Memorial Episcopal Church in Darlington, Md., where he served as a vestryman and was past president of the Grace Foundation. He was the past president of the Harford and Cecil County Insurance Agency Association and was the president and founder of the Reba A. Jones Foundation. He was active in counseling with Alcoholics Anonymous and volunteered at both the Cecil and Harford County Detention Centers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, David B. Jones and his wife, Michelle of Whiteford, Md., Jeffrey A. Jones of Clifton, Va., and John H. Jones of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Anna Mosher of North Dartmouth, Mass.; two brothers, Gary Jones of San Jose, Calif., and John J. Jones of Red Lion; and four grandchildren, Zachary K., Nicholas A., Haley M. and Raquel L. Jones. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas E. Jones, who died in 1989. A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta. The Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Grace Memorial Episcopal Church, Darlington, Md. The vicar, Rev. Michael G. Rokos will officiate. Marlyn B. Jones, age 90 years, of Whiteford, MD, died peacefully on Monday, November 8, 2021. She would have celebrated her 91st birthday on November 12. Born and raised in Conowingo Village, she was the younger daughter of the late John and Alma (Kennedy) Bodine. Marlyn was a graduate of Bel Air High School and Temple University, where she received her degree in dental hygiene. She was a lifetime member of the Grace Memorial Episcopal Church in Darlington, where she served in various capacities, including Ladies' Guild, choir, Sunday School teacher, and vestry member. Mrs. Jones is survived by her sons - David B. Jones and his wife, Michelle of Whiteford, MD; Jeffrey A. Jones and his partner, Will Bergin of Clifton, VA; John H. Jones of Columbus, OH; Four grandchildren - Zachary K. Jones and his wife, Michele; Nicholas A. Jones; Haley M. Jones and her partner, Evan Raimist; Raquel L. and her husband, JiYong Shin. Three great-grandchildren - Charles, Marie, and Benjamin Jones. Marlyn was preceded in death by her husband, G. Kenneth Jones; her sister, Peggy McDaniel; and a son, Douglas A. Jones. A private memorial service will be held at the Grace Memorial Episcopal Church in Darlington. The vicar, Reverend Lynn Hade, will officiate.
