Chester H. Anderson, 78, of Old Pines Trail, passed away at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital Friday November 30, 2012. Calling hours were held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday Dec. 3, with services commencing at noon at Weldon Funeral Home. A private burial followed services and a reception was held at the Elks Club for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of Yates County, 1216 State Route 14 A Penn Yan NY 14527. Chet was born Aug. 9,1934, the son of the late Chester H. Anderson and Phoebe Andrews. He served with the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his mother, Phoebe of Penn Yan; four daughters Bonnie (Rich) Basler and Brenda (Willie) Fultz, both of Penn Yan; Betsy (Shawn) Wistner of Canandaigua and Barb (Charlie) Danieler of Glen Cove; grandchildren; Morgan, Nick, Ashley, Jordan, Billy and Sylvie; two brothers Ed (Fran) Anderson of Penn Yan and Tom (Joan) Andrews of Ohio, one sister-in-law, Joan Andrews of Penn Yan; and several nieces and nephews.
