Duane Bodine, 75, of Thompson Hill Rd., Gillett, Pa., passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Pa. Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008 at the Roberts Funeral Home Inc. Duane's service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, Pa. Duane was born Aug. 23, 1933 in Burlington Township, Pa., son of the late Melden C. and Lucille A. Darrow Bodine. He was married to the Katherine Stilson on Dec. 26, 1986. Duane was retired following 39 years of service from Kennedy Valve, where he worked as a machinist. He was a member of the Ridgebury Sportsman Club. His other interests included hunting and NASCAR racing, especially following Geoff Bodine. Survivors include: his wife, Katherine A. Bodine of Ridgebury; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and John Tubolino of Norwich, N.Y.; a sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Richard Patton of Athens; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Velda Guiles of Waverly, Donna and Phil Johnson of Elmira, Leo Stilson of Corning, and Kenneth Mills of Elmira; three grandchildren; 13 nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
