Rebecca Kay "Becky" Stipes, 42, died at 9:33 a.m. May 31, 2012, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. She was born Dec. 7, 1969, in Lima to John S. and P. Jean Eggerman Bodine. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives. She was married Oct. 11, 1997, to George M. Stipes, who survives. Mrs. Stipes was a 1988 graduate of Bath High School. She had previously worked for The Lima News and Big Lots. She loved spending time with her two boys, traveling with her mom and collecting frogs. She was a member of Fraternal Order Eagles Aerie 370. Survivors also include two sons, Scott A. Ray and Dylan M. Stipes, both of Lima; six brothers, Gerald P. Carroll, of Lima, John S. "Sam" (Tree) Bodine, of Lima, Billy J. (Dawn Parnitzke) Bodine, of Lima, Claude (Valerie) Bodine, of Lafayette, George Bodine, of Lima, and Earl Bodine, of Lima; two sisters, Bessie May (Wayne) Hale, of Butler, Ind., and Shannon M. (Richard) Wright, of Columbus Grove; an aunt, Mary Thomas, of Lima; and 18 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Merle Bodine; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Catherine Ribley Eggerman; maternal great-grandparents, Jess and Grace Eggerman; in-laws, Bill and Jeanie Stipes. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Jim Mason will officiate. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery, Lima. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. A graveside service is being planned at the Fairmount Cemetery.
