James M. Bodine, son of John T. & Mary M. Bodine, was born 14 Feb 1875 in Hedgesville, Berkeley County.
James Bodine, age 25 and single, was living 1900 with his parents in Hedgesville and employed as a butcher. In 1910, aged 32 and single, he was still living with his parents but was unemployed. On 12 Sept 1918, as James Malvin Bodine, he registered for the World War I Draft in Youngstown, Ohio reporting he was born 14 May 1875 and that Mrs. Margaret Bodine was his next of kin. In 1930, he and his family lived in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania where he worked in a butcher shop as a meat cutter. In 1942, James Malvin Bodine, as a resident of Wilkinsburg, Penn. reported his birth as 14 May 1879 in Hedgesville, West Virginia.

James M. Bodine, born 14 May 1879 in West Virginia, died in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County on 13 Aug 1955. Son of Thomas Bodine & Margaret Johnson. Buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wilkinsburg.

BODINE--On Saturday, Aug. 13, 1955, James M. Bodine, husband of Mary Lightfoot Bodine, of 1423 Montier St., Wilkinsburg; father of James T. Bodine; brother of Osborne Bodine and Mrs. Ida McDowell; also survived by two grandchildren. Friends received at the Eaton Funeral Home, 733 Ross Ave., Wilkinsburg. Services Tuesday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock.
