From Ronny Bodine:

The Mansfield Advertiser of 9 March 1887 reported the marriage of Clarence E. Shumway and Miss Anna S. Bodine at her home in Wellsboro on March 2d with Rev. M. DeWitt officiating.

The Shumway family was living 1900 in Corning, Steuben County, New York where Clarence was engaged as a traveling salesman. Clarence reported that in 13 years of marriage Ann had borne one child, Allyn, who was then living with them. The family also included Ann's unmarried brother Mayne.
