Pat Lince, who was married to one of Milford's cousins, and who lived in Allegan County most of her life, said in the early 1980's that Milford was married more than once but left no issue.

Milford Bodine, 36, of Hopkins, Michigan, born in Allegan County, son of John Bodine & Maude Gates AND Kathleen Anne Kramer, 26, of Chicago, Illinois, born in Cook County, Illinois, dau. of George Kramer & Elizabeth Hoofer, were married 22 June 1944 in Hopkins. [From Michigan Divorce Records: J. Milford Bodine & Kathleen Bodine were divorced 24 March 1952 in Kent County.]

2nd--J. Milford Bodine, 44, of Hopkins, Michigan, born in Allegan County, son of John Bodine & Maude Gates AND Hazel Marie Duryea, 48, of Hopkins, born in Allegan County, dau. of Ivan Peass & Verna Bell Green, were married 23 Aug 1952 in Hopkins.

Milford and Hazel Bodine were buried in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township, Allegan County. Hazel (Pease) Bodine was the daughter of Ivan and Verna Bell (Green) Pease.

J. Milford Bodine, 57, of Shelbyville Route 1, died Thursday evening in a Battle Creek hospital of injuries suffered in a July 28 traffic accident. Bodine, a driver for the Otsego Sanitary Milk Products Co. was injured in a two-truck accident on I-94 near Battle Creek. He is survived by his wife, Hazel; a stepson, Dick Duryea of Kalamazoo; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Switek Funeral Home, Hopkins, and burial will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Hazel M. Bodine passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday. Mrs. Bodine was born in Hopkins, Jan. 12, 1904, daughter of Ivan and Verna Pease. She was a member of the United Church of Wayland and Hopkins Eastern Star Chapter No. 499. Surviving are one son, Richard Duryea of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Earl Satterlee; step father, Earl Satterlee, both of Hopkins; several aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Milford in 1965. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Hopkins Chapel, Gorden Funeral Residence, where services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Richards Koster and Rev. Densel Fuller officiating. Burial in Poplar Hill Cemetery.

Kathleen Ann Harris applied for a SSN in November 1936 and reported she was born 7 Sept 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, dau. of George & Elizabeth (Hoffer) Kramer. In May 1945 she reported her name as Kathleen Ann Bodine and in July 1952 as Kathleen Ann Edwards. She died 21 June 1991.
