Notes for: Daniel ("Dan") Ball Bodine

In 1920, Daniel and Mary Bodine lived in Pittsfield, Pike County where Daniel worked as a barber in his own shop. In 1930, Mary Bodine lived with her daughter Anna in Pittsfield, Pike County, both employed as machine operators at a shoe factory. Although Mary reported she was married, Daniel was not living with the family. In 1942, Daniel Ball Bodine registered for the World War II draft in Pittsfield, Illinois. He reported he was born 13 May 1880 in Pittsfield, was self-employed, and Mrs. Marion Lashmett of Pittsfield was his nearest kin. Daniel B. Bodine was buried in Pittsfield Cemetery, Pittsfield, Pike County.

PITTSFIELD-Dan Bodine, 84 year old retired barber living at Detroit, died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday at the Illini hospital here. Mr. Bodine is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Anna Perryman, Mrs. Louise Heavner and Mrs. Marian Breed, all of Pittsfield. There are a number pf grandchildren. The body was taken to Plattner Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in West Cemetery.
