Notes for: Mary Bodine

I think someone may have added a "Mame" Bodine as a daughter of Robert Bodine. RB does not have a Mame Bodine listed with Robert's children. Here is some info on this matter:

Unless this is Mary, Mame was not listed in the 1880 Census of Paris, Monroe Co., MO.

From Ronny Bodine:

The Coffeyville Daily Journal (Coffeyville, Mo.) of 3 Sept 1898.
Paris, Mo., Sept. 3. Miss Lollie Bodine, daughter of Congressman Bodine of this city, created quite a surprise here August 9 by marrying A. B. Mosher, her family having no previous knowledge of it. They immediately left for New York, accompanied by Miss Mary Bodine, sister of the bride. Yesterday the family and friends were again surprised by receiving a letter saying that Miss Mary had married Brooks Cason, a prominent attorney of Washington, D. C, the ceremony being performed at the home of the bride's sister, in New York. Both young ladies met their husbands while in Washington last winter.

Brooks and Mary Cason lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1900 where Brooks was engaged as a lawyer. In 1920, Mary Cason, age 44 and still married, is an inmate at State Lunatic Asylum No. 1 in Calloway County, Missouri.

Brooks Cason served in the US Navy from Feb 1886 to Sept 1890 and was discharged with the rank of Coxswain. He was buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
