Wilfred Reed Bodine, bapt. 14 July 1878, born 6 Aug 1877 to D. Tallman Bodine and Julia T. R. Bodine.

1st marriage--1899--GRACE E. CONKLIN.
From Cayuga County, New York Marriage Records:
Wilfred R. Bodine AND Grace E. Conklin were married 30 Aug 1899 in Fleming.

In April 1910, Wilfred and Grace Bodine lived in Owasco, Cayuga County engaged in farming. The couple reported that in 10 years of marriage Grace had borne no children. On 12 Sept 1918, Wilfred Reed Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Auburn, Cayuga County. He reported he was born 6 Aug 1877, was a self-employed farmer and Grace E. Bodine was his next of kin. In April 1930 they lived in Auburn, Cayuga County.

1940 Auburn, Cayuga Co., NY: Wilfred R. BODINE 71 NY shipping clerk, Grace E. Bodine 63 NY wife. Residence on 1 April 1935: Same place.

On 25 April 1942, Wilfred R. Bodine of Auburn, New York registered for the World War II Draft. he reported he was born 6 Aug 1877 in Fleming, New York, was self-employed, and named Mrs. Wilfred R. Bodine as his next of kin.

Mrs. Grace E. Bodine of 120 South Seward Avenue died this morning in City Hospital. She was born in Owasco, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Conklin and resided in Owasco and Fleming before coming to Auburn 16 years ago. She was the wife of Wilfred R. Bodine. Mrs. Bodine is survived by several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Langham Funeral Home, 31 East Genesee Street. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Fleming. Friends have been invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9.

Wilfred and Grace Bodine were buried in Lake View Cemetery, Fleming, Cayuga County.


2nd marriage--1945--IDA MAY BROKAW.

Wilfred R. Bodine AND Ida M. Brokaw were married 4 Oct 1945 in Auburn, Cayuga County.

Ida (Brokaw) Bodine was the daughter of Isaac and Sarah Brokaw.

Wilfred R. Bodine, 85, husband of Ida Brokaw Bodine of 120 S. Seward Ave., died in Auburn Memorial Hospital early this morning. He was born in Fleming and had lived in Auburn more than 30 years. He retired from the Columbian Rope Co. in 1949. Mrs. Bodine is his only near survivor. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Glenn F. Mosher Funeral Home, Rev. Richard J. Blocker, pastor of the Sand Beach Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Beach Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

AUBURN---Mrs. Ida Brokaw Bodine, 73, of 120 S. Seward Ave., died Friday afternoon in Mercy Hospital after a short illness. She was the widow of Wilfred R. Bodine. Her only survivors are several cousins. Services will be from the Glenn F. Mosher Funeral Home at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Fleming.
