James E. Bodine AND Catharine Siler were married 30 April 1874 by H. W. Herman.

In June 1900, James Bodine lived in Indianapolis, Indiana. Employed as a merchant in dental supplies, he reported that in 26 years of marriage his wife had borne 4 children of whom 2 were then living. The couple lived the rest of their lives in Indianapolis and were buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, James on 27 April 1926 and Catherine on 19 May 1939.

BODINE--James E., husband of Catherine Bodine and father of Bessie E. Heiskell, of Chicago and Leroy L. Bodine, of Ft. Leavenworth, Kas., passed away Saturday p.m. Service at The Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary, 25 W. Fall Creek Blvd., Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. Interment Crown Hill, private.

Mrs. Catherine Bodine, 84 years old, 1522 North New Jersey street, died in the Methodist Hospital yesterday after a brief illness. Born in West Manchester, O., Mrs. Bodine had been a resident of Indianapolis 56 years. Her husband, James E. Bodine, died in 1926. Mrs. Bodine was one of the oldest members of the Central Avenue Methodist Church, and was a former past worthy grand matron of Queen Esther chapter, Order Eastern Star. Funeral services will be held in the Hisey & Titus mortuary at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Frank W. Heiskell of Chicago, Ill.; a son, Col. Roy L. Bodine of Fort McPherson, Atlanta, Ga., and three grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
