Willard A. Bodine, 51, of Pleasant Valley, Washington, R.D. 1, died Saturday night at Warren Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital Saturday afternoon after he was taken ill at the service station he operated on South Main street, Phillipsburg. Mr. Bodine operated the Bodine Esso Station for 25 years. Born in Pleasant Valley, he was a son of Mrs. Irene Bodine and the late Enos Bodine. He was a member of Washington Presbyterian Church; Mansfield Lodge 35, P&AM; DeMolay Commandery 6, Knights Templar, and Temple Chapter 12, Royal Arch Masons, all of Washington; Crescent Temple Shrine, West Jersey Shrine Club, and Aerie 1372, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Phillipsburg. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his widfow, the former Gladys Cooper; a son, John C.; a brother, John Bodine, county clerk ofWarren County; a sister, Mrs. Clara Fitts, and two grandchildren, all of Pleasant Valley. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ford Funeral Home, Washington.

Gladys M. Bodine, 80, of Route 57 in Washington Township, N.J., died Monday at Warren Hospital. Born Feb. 7, 1909, in Oxford Township, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Emma Melberger Cooper. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington. Her husband, Willard Bodine, died in 1960. She is survived by a son, John, with whom she lived; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Devoe Funeral Home in Washington Borough, N.J. Interment will follow at the Washington Cemetery.
