John H. Bodine AND Laura Martenis, 21, were married 14 Feb 1884.
John Bodine lived 1900 in Franklin Township, Warren County engaged in farming. He reported that in 15 years of marriage his wife Laura had borne 2 children both of whom were then living with them. In 1910, Laura Bodine, now widowed, lived with her two sons in Franklin Township and in 1920-1930 with her son Benjamin.

John H. Bodine died at his home near Hick's school house last Saturday. He was forty three years old and death was the result of a short illness with pneumonia. A widow and two sons survive. The funeral services were held Wednesday.

Mrs. Laura M. Bodine, 87, of Phillipsburg, R. D. 1, widow of John Bodine, died Saturday afternoon at Warren Hospital. She was admitted to the hospital on March 25. Mrs. Bodine was a member of the Washington Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Benjamin of Uniontown and Russell, of Washington R. D., and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. from the DeVoe funeral home, Washington, with the Rev. Lewis J. Grotenhuis, of Harmony, officiating. Interment will be in Washington cemetery.
