William P. Bodine, age 17, lived with his parents April 1930. On 1 Sept 1942, he enlisted as a Private at Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania in the U.S. Army. He reported he was single and had no dependents. Nellie Polk, daughter of William Polk, was the widow of Leo Frederick Swisher (1884-1952) to whom she had been married since 1907. William and Nellie Bodine were buried in Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg, Columbia County. William Bodine had no children as his only wife, Nellie, was in her late 60s at the time of their marriage.
