Kimber Bodine of Newlin AND Susan Carmichael of Bear Gap were married 24 Feb 1912.
On 5 June 1917, Kimber Brittain Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Columbia County. He reported he was a self-employed farmer, married with 2 children. In 1920-1930, he lived with his family in Locust Township engaged in farming in 1920 (as Cimber Bodine) and as a road laborer in 1930.
1940 Locust Twp., Columbia Co., PA: Kimber BODINE 52 PA farm laborer, Susan 57 PA wife, William 27 PA son, Martha 23 PA dau, James 21 PA son, Quentin 18 PA son.
From the Pennsylvania Death Certificate of Susan Janet Bodine, wife of Kimber Bodine, born 9 July 1882 in Penn., dau. of John & Sarah (Leiby) Carmitchell; died 24 Feb 1958 in Mahoning Twp., Montour County and buried in St. Paul's Reformed Cemetery, Numidia, Penn. Kimber Bodine, informant. [Note: In 1900, Susan lived with her widowed mother who reported her birth date as July 1878. The Carmitchell family lived in Northumberland Co., Penn. from 1870 to 1920 and thus would be where Susan was born.]

Mrs. Susan J. Bodine, 75, wife of Kimber Bodine, Catawissa R.D., and a native of Green Ridge, died in Geisinger Memorial Hospital, Danville, after an illness of three years. Born July 9, 1882, Mrs. Bodine was a daughter of the late John and Sara (Leiby) Carmitchel. She was a member of St. Paul's Reformed Church, Numidia. Surviving are the husband, one daughter, three sons, 11 grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in Billig Funeral Home, Numidia. Burial will be in St. Paul's Reformed Cemetery, Numidia.
