John Bodine lived with his family in Locust Township, Columbia County where he was the proprietor of his own store. Mary (Fetterman) Bodine was the daughter of John and Matilda (Rarig) Fetterman. From the Pennsylvania Death Certificate of John Raymond Bodine, retired merchant, husband of Mary Bodine, born 6 July 1884 in Columbia County, son of Brittain & Clara (Fahringer) Bodine; died 28 Nov 1956 in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, aged 72 years and buried in St. Paul's Reformed Cemetery, Mumidia. Mrs. Mary Bodine of Catawissa, Penn., informant.

John R. Bodine, 72, Catawissa, former school teacher and merchant, died in Bloomsburg Hospital of a complication. A native of Numidia, Mr. Bodine was a director of the Valley National Bank, Numidia, and the Catawissa Valley National Bank. Surviving are the widow, the former Mary Fetterman; one daughter, two sons, 10 grandchildren and one brother. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in Billig Funeral Home, Numidia.

Mrs. Mary Bodine, 82, of 503 East Main Street, Catawissa, died yesterday afternoon at 3:15 in Bloomsburg Hospital. Born in Locust Township, Mrs. Bodine was the daughter of the late John and Mathilda (Rarig) Fetterman. Her husband, John R. Bodine, died in 1956. Mrs. Bodine was a member of the United Church of Christ, Numidia. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Quinton (Dorothy) Lockhart, Aurora, Ill.; two sons, Irvin, Bradford, Ontario, Canada, and Harold, Lansing, Mich.; 11 grandchildren eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Orpha Martz and Mrs. Allen Wagner, Catawissa, and Mrs. Adda Leiby, Ringtown, and one brother, Monroe Fetterman, Catawissa.
