William Bodine lived 1900-1910 in Linn County, Oregon. In 1900, he reported he was a farmer and that in 14 years of marriage his wife had borne 5 children, all of whom lived with them. In 1910, he reported that in 24 years of marriage his wife had borne 6 children, all then living.

William Albert Bodine, well known Linn county horticulturist, died at 1:40 o'clock this afternoon at his home at 413 East Fifth street. Heart trouble, which became acute within the last two months, was the cause. He had been in delicate health the last four years. Mr. Bodine was born in Albany July 18, 1858 and lived almost all his life here, a short time being spent in Idaho. He was a son of D. H. Bodine and wife, who crossed the plains and settled near Albany in 1852 and 1853. In 1886 he was married to Addie Richardson, and six children were born to the union. They are: D. H. Bodine of Oakland, Cal.; Miss Ruth Bodine, Albany; Mrs. Frank Safley, Cottage Grove; Mrs. Naomi, Addie and Vernita Bodine of Albany. There are four brothers and sisters, Mrs. Bell McQuown of Estacada, S. S. Bodine, Newport; D. H. of Albany and J. A. of Portland. There are also five grandchildren. Mr. Bodine was a member of the Maccabees and was well known throughout Linn county. He was recently appointed county fruit inspector and was doing good work up to the time of his illness. Funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow.

Albany---Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from the Fortmiller Funeral home for Mrs. Sarah Adeline Bodine, 78, widow of the late W. A. Bodine, who died at her home Saturday. Born in Corvallis, March 6, 1865, and had lived there and at Albany all her life. Married in Albany Jan. 27, 1886. Mr. Bodine died in 1919. Surviving are a son, Daniel Harvey Bodine of Beaverton; daughters, Mrs. Ruth L. Burkhart and Mrs. Verneta Hite of Albany, Mrs. Margaret L. Safley of Eugene, Mrs. Naomi N. Hall of Marshfield and Mrs. Addie E. Rickart of Corvalis.
