Notes for: Francis (Frank) Bodine

Francis Bodine seems to have been a very colorful man in his lifetime. Raymond Henry Bodine, a grandson, had this to say about him: He had red hair, a very tall man, a carpenter and farmer. He was married three times with children from the first two.

It has not been determined where his first wives are buried, but logically they are in the Bodine Cemetery. More family information arrived in November of 1996 from a great-great-grandson, Jerry Jernigan.

From Ronny Bodine:

Francis and Mary Bodine were buried in Bodine Cemetery, Brown's Valley, Marshall County. In the Marshall County censuses of 1860-1900 Francis Bodine reported his occupation as farmer.

Francis Bodine enlisted 9 Feb 1863, as a Private, at Huntsville, Alabama in Captain Ward's Battery, Alabama Light Artillery (CSA) and was discharged 17 Apr 1863.
