Hazel Josephine Crowley, age 90, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010, at Lakeside Meadows, in Osage Beach, Missouri. She was born October 31, 1919, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of George Edward and Josephine Margaret (Vieux) Bodine. She was united in marriage on September 1, 1941 to Donald Crowley, and together they had shared the past 68 years until her passing. Hazel was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church where she loved to sing in the choir. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, swimming, sailing, playing tennis, playing poker, and was an avid artist and a clown. Hazel enjoyed being active and walked three miles a day, up until she was 85. Hazel is survived by her husband, Donald, of Osage Beach, Missouri; two sons, Dennis Crowley, and his wife, Marie, of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Timothy Crowley, and his wife, Robin, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Linda Puppe, of Osage Beach, Missouri, Jane Taggart, and her husband, Tim, of Hershey, Pennsylvania, and M. Susan Berns, and her husband, Edward, of St. Louis, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great- grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, and a son- in- law, Gerald Puppe. Catholic Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 10, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation e from 9:30- 11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date at Lake Memorial Garden, Osage Beach, Missouri. Memorials donationas are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 1121 Business Loop 70 East, Columbia, Missouri 65201. The family would like to thank the staff of Lakeside Meadows for all they did for Hazel and the wonderful care they provided for their mother, and the great comfort they have been to us. Donald M. Crowley, of Osage Beach, Missouri, born March 29, 1917, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Hazel J. Crowley. He is survived by his 5 children; daughters, Linda Puppe of Osage Beach, Jane (Timothy) Taggart of Hershey, PA, Susan (Ed) Berns of St. Louis, MO.; sons, Dennis (Marie) Crowley of Osage Beach, and Timothy (Robin) Crowley of Philadelphia, PA.; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Donald was an aeronautical engineer graduated from the University of Minnesota. He applied his education for his entire career at TWA. He was in flight operations training for the majority of his career. He spent two years in Saudia Arabia with Saudia Airlines before retiring to the Virgin Islands. There he and his wife lived in and sailed a 44 foot Caribbean Sailing Yacht. Sailing was the love of his life next to watching his children play. Then they traveled the united states in a 5th wheel for 5 years. They settled in Sun City, Arizona. This is where he started his next career, computers. He started with Dos and ended up writing 7 books about computer training during the next 20 years. His love for the Lord sustained him during his entire life. He was a great example of faith to his family. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 3, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at St Anthony's Catholic Church, Camdenton, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church.
