Notes for: Harold Logan Bodine

His father's obituary says he was living in Burlingame, Kansas in 1948. Here is a picture of Harold and his wife, Alta, that was sent to me by Denise Oliver-Velez.

Miss Alta Moon, daughter of Tom Moon, and Harold Bodine, son of Geo. Bodine, were married in Topeka last Saturday. [The same details appeared in The Burlingame Enterprise of 27 Nov 1913.]

Mrs. Harold L. Bodine, Burlingame, the mother of Mrs. Paul L. Hahn, 1219 Highland St., died Friday evening in Newman Memorial County Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past six weeks. The time of funeral services will be announced by the Carey Funeral Home in Burlingame. The Blair Colonial Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements. Mrs. Bodine was the former Alta Alzora Moon, daughter of Tom and Flora Moon. She was born Oct. 19th, 1892, in Missouri, and she was married Nov. 22nd, 1913, in Burlingame. She had lived during the 1940s at 1108 Congress St., Emporia. Mrs. Bodine was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mrs. George A. (Lotty) Adolph, and she is survived by her husband, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Hahn and Mrs. John Stout, Burlingame; four grandchildren, Curt Stout, serving with the Navy, and stationed in San Diego, Calif.; Venice Stout, Burlingame, and Phillip and Jana Hahn, 1219 Highland St., and several nieces and nephews.

Harold L. Bodine, 76, formerly of Burlingame, died Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul L. Hahn, 1219 Highland St., where he had lived for the past year. Funeral services and burial will be in Burlingame with the time to be announced later. The Cary Funeral home has charge of arrangements. Mr. Bodine had worked for the Santa Fe before his retirement. His wife, the former Alta Moon, whom he married Nov. 22nd, 1913, in Burlingame, died July 2nd, 1965. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Stout, Burlingame, and Mrs. Hahn; four grandchildren, Venice and Curtis Stout, Burlingame, Philip Hahn. 1106 Mechanic St., and Jana Hahn, of the home.
