Levi Bordine a lifelong resident of Augusta Township passed away Wednesday morning at the Saline hospital at the age of 85. He was the son of Allen and Lavina Bordine and was born January 23rd, 1856. On April 7, 1875 he was united in marriage to Emily Sundberg and to this union were born three children: Mrs. Muriel Jackson of Milan, Mrs. Ethel Torrence of Augusta Township and Clinton Bordine of Azalia. Emily Bordine passed away on February 2nd, 1912 and later he married Melissa Jacobs who preceded him in death by a few years. He leaves 8 grand children and 9 great grandchildren and a sister, Lavina Darling of Omaha, Neb. One year spent with his son in Azalia at his resident in Tuttle Hill since last April, were his only departure from the township in which he spent his entire life. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Knox of the Free Methodist Church at the Stevens and Bush Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. with burial at London cemetery.
