Notes for: Maxwell ("Max") Bodine

On 5 June 1917, Maxwell Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Pittsburgh. He reported he was born 27 Nov 1890 in Pleasantville and was married with children. In 1942, he registered for the World War II draft as a resident of Pittsburgh. He named Mrs. Jane Bodine as his next of kin. The 1949 Pittsburgh City Directory shows Maxwell and Jane Bodine as residents. Maxwell and Jane Bodine were buried in Lakewood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dorseyville, Allegheny County, Pa.

1930 (11 April) Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co.: Maxwell BODINE 39 PA married@21 driver, Jane 38 PA wife married@20, Maxwell A. 16 PA son, Dorothy J. 14 PA dau, Sara E. 11 PA dau, Rose A. 6 PA dau.

BODINE--On Saturday, Nov. 30, at 5:40 a.m., Maxwell Bodine, beloved husband of Jane Thompson of 2104 Federal St. (formerly of 506 McClintock Ave); father of Mrs. Sara Foster, Mrs. Rose Wolf, Miss Dorothy J. and Maxwell A. Bodine; brother of Mrs. Lula Rogers of Larchmont, N.Y., Zula Reidenbach and Mabel Rhinehart of Los Angeles and Fred W. Bodine of Pittsburgh; also survived by five grandchildren. Friends received at the Frank W. Simons Funeral Home, 2025 Perrysville Ave. Services on Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock.
