BUDINE--Lewis J. Budine, 72, Bainbridge RD 2, died Tuesday in The Hospital, Sidney, after a short illness. He was born in Walton, Oct. 27, 1889, son of Cyrus Budine and Hannah Shutters, where on Dec. 15, 1909 he married Lelia M. Benedict. Before moving to Bainbridge he had lived in Walton and Cannonsville. Mr. Budine was a retired farmer, a member of the Bainbridge Methodist Church and a member of the Algonquin Grange of Bainbridge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leila Budine, Bainbridge RD 2; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Coulter, Walton RD 1; a son, Aaron L. Budine, Bainbridge RD 1; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Vina Robinson, Walton, Mrs. Edith Chamberlin, Hillcrest and Mrs. Blanche Hays, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three brothers, Stanley and Kenneth Budine, both of Walton and Rupert Budine, Livingston Manor. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p. m. at the Lyon Brothers Funeral Chapel, Walton. The Rev. James Bartz, Bainbridge, will officiate. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery, Walton. Friends may call at the funeral chapel this evening from 7 to 9.

Mrs. Leila Budine, 74, died June 10 in The Hospital, Sidney, following a coronary attack. The funeral was held Friday in Lyon Brothers' Chapel at Walton with services conducted by Rev. James W. Bartz, pastor of the Bainbridge Methodist Church. Interment was in Walton Cemetery. A native of Walton, she was born to Fred and Delphine Hendericks Benedict on September 19, 1889. She was married to Lewis J. Budine in Walton on December 15, 1909. Mrs. Budine had resided in Bainbridge for the past eight years, having previously lived for nine years in Cannonsville and for 30 years in Melvin Hollow, Walton. She was a member of Bainbridge Methodist Church, Bainbridge Grange, Bainbridge Community Club and East Walton Ladies Aid. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Irene Coulter of Walton; a son, Aaron Budine of Bainbridge; a sister, Mrs. Flora Rowley of Walton; four grandchildren.
