Obituary: CREVE COEUR -- William J. Bodine, 39, of Creve Coeur died at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 1997, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born Feb. 6, 1958, in Peoria to Fredrick and Alice Blumenstock Bodine, he married Barbara Yancey on Aug. 31, 1985, in Creve Coeur. She survives. Also surviving are his father of Creve Coeur; one son, Michael J. at home; one daughter, Brandi Lee Rowe of Columbia, Tenn.; three brothers, Russell and James, both of Creve Coeur, and Clarence of East Peoria; and two sisters, Mrs. Larry (Mary) Dooley of Creve Coeur and Mrs. Richard (Alice) Dyer of North Pekin. His mother preceded him in death.

He worked in the maintenance department of the Mark Twain House in East Peoria. He was a member of Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur, where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. James King will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to a fund for his son, in care of Fondulac Bank in East Peoria.

CREVE COEUR - Barbara D. "Barb" Bodine, 44, of Creve Coeur passed away at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at her residence. She was born Aug. 9, 1962, in Peoria to Carrol and Sondra Booth Yancey. She married her soulmate and best friend, William "Bill" J. Bodine on May 31, 1985. He passed away May 17, 1997, in Peoria. Surviving are her parents of Creve Coeur; her son, Michael Bodine of Creve Coeur; and her adopted daughter, Ty Gulley of Creve Coeur; four sisters, Ms. Bonnie Yancey of Bloomington, Mrs. Beverly Thompson of Bloomington, Mrs. Bernice (Pat) Quinn of North Pekin and Mrs. Charlotte (Butch) Look of Tucson, Ariz.; and one brother, Mr. Irvin (Lynn) Yancey of Bellevue. She also leaves her in-laws, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Barb loved animals, especially her four-legged sons, Max and Pickle, and grand-pets, Duke and Nikki. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and crafts. She graduated from LaSalle Elementary School, East Peoria Community High School and Illinois Central College with an associate's degree as an LPN. She worked as a quality facilitator for XPAC in Bartonville, where she helped to establish the Division 19 Care Fund. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at Creve Coeur Church of the Nazarene, 129 S. Highland, Creve Coeur, IL 61610. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Mack Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
