Notes for: Sylvanus Lawrence Hull

Sylvanus Hull was the son of Trustrum Hull (1765-1809) and Mary Lawrence (1775-1811).

He married his first wife, Phebe L. Owen (1800-1832) of Penfield, Monroe Co., New York, on 10 May 1826.

Children:
[1] George Lafayette Hull (1827-1912) was born in Penfield, New York, and died in Detroit. He married Isabella McFarlane (1827-1899) on 11 November 1851. They are buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Ann Arbor.
[2] William Rinaldo Hull (1829-1835) was born in New York.
[3] Phebe Lucy Hull (1832-1908) was born in New York, married first Loren E. Robinson (1828-1853) on 14 October 1850, married second Solomon Fuller Sears (1816-1895), his second marriage, on 25 August 1875. Solomon was buried in the Webster United Church of Christ Cemetery next to his first wife, Olive Dickenson Fisher.

In 1835, he married his second wife, Mary Bartlett (1802-1861). Sylvanus and Mary resided in Lodi Township in 1840 and in Saline in 1850 and 1860. He owned real estate valued at $5,400 in 1850 and $6,000 in 1860 with personal property of $2,500. In 1860, his wife, Mary, owned real estate valued at $300.

Children:
[1] Hiram S. Hull, born in New York ca 1837, was a farmer with personal property valued at $125 in 1860.
[2] John Wesley Hull (1842-1933), born/died in Saline, married Florence Amelia Sumner (1848-1925) on 13 August 1868. Both are buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Saline.
[3] Jane Hull, born in Michigan, had personal property valued at $300 in 1860.
