I recently came across these papers which I had copied several years ago while in Harrisburg, PA. They are located in the Dauphin County Historical Society. These notes were taken from a series of letters as well as a long involved genealogy written by hand. The files are quite thick with Demaree materials as they also relate to later geneations who lived in Dauphin Co. I was searching at the time in the hopes that I could track down the descendants of Rev. Cozine and perhaps discover that one of his ancestors still had baptismal records for the Berkely Co WVA Dutch in their posession. No luck there however, but if someone is looking for this information:

DEED BOOK K, VOL 2, PG 264 State of Kentucky, Mercer Co, to wit: To all whom these press----, I Samuel Demaree of Kentucky and the County of Mercer the only surviving Executor of Cornelious Cozine dec'd for the diverse good, causes and considerations appoint Luke Vanardel (Vanarsdal) of this State etc. and Jacob Cofsort and David Cofsort Jr.or York and PA my attorney's and in my name to transact all business for me in PA. Relative to my executorship etc. Sept 3, 1794.

DEED BOOK H, VOL 2, PAGE 429, Mary Cozine, widow of Cornelious Cozine married
David Demerest, Bergen Co, Oct 4, 1790, came before the court and said she apointed Jacob Vanorden--no more David Van Orden of Orange Co NY her attorney in the estate of the said Cornelious Cozine dec 'd, David Beatty. EX. on August 1, 1787, she while a widow empowered David Van Orden her Ex.

Luke Vanarsdalen was the Agent for the Low Dutch Company in Kentucky as was Garret Dorland.

All the following info was sent to me by Sherron Westerfield (sherronw@searnet.com).

All four of his children were born at Conewego Colony PA.

Children include: Antie, bapt. 28 Dec 1776

Cornelius and his brother, John, along with their nephew Cornelius
(son of brother Peter), were among the signers of the Petition to
Congress, c.1793, regarding KY independence.

Cornelius and his brother, John, were members of Henry Banta's
Company, 4th Battalion, York County Militia in 1784.
