Notes for: John Newton Bodine

I did have his name as John Robert Bodine and that he was born in 1910; however, information from their funeral cards sent to me by Heather Fowler says differently. The card gives his name as John Newton Bodine and that he was born April 20, 1911. His wife's card says she was named Allie Beatrice Bodine.

John was a farm laborer in the San Joaquin Valley in Arvin, California. Donald King, their nephew, told me they didn't have any children.

Dear Dave,

I ran across your website by accident and found you.
Mary Edna Bodine was my mother and Richard Samuel King was my father.
I remember grandpa James Louis Bodine but never remember seeing grandma Mary.
James Louis lived with aunt Dorothy Bodine Bearden in the 40's.After he broke his hip, he began to go down hill.

Aunt Elsie and uncle Jim Hopkins lived in Pond, CA for years in the 40's and moved to Wasco, Ca until her death from Cancer. Her daughter Wanda Jo Riddle lives near me in Bakersfield I remember uncle LLoyd Bodine and went to his funeral. Uncle Frank lived in Hunnington Park with aunt Margie. Uncle John died of a heart attack in Arvin, CA. Uncle John came to visit ever so often with wife, Allyne.
They had no children.

I've had some correspondence with cousin Pat Drummond and Pat Bodine.

I would like ro keep in touch. I do have a few old pictures.
I will try to find the picture box and if you are interested can send you pix.

Your cousin,
Donald King
