Herbert Bodine, 22, of Allegan, farmer, born in Cheshire, Michigan, son of George Bodine & Ellen Morey AND Louise M. House, 24, of Valley, born in Valley, Michigan, dau. of Charley House & Eva Kelsey, were married 31 Dec 1910 in Allegan, by J. W. Vickers, Clergyman.

Herbert Bodine registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Cheshire, Allegan County. In 1920, Herbert Bodine lived with his wife in Ganges, Allegan County, where he worked as a laborer on a fruit farm and 1930 in Clyde, Allegan County where he farmer. The couple had no children. Louise (House) Bodine was the daughter of Charles and Eva (Kelsey) House. Her birth date of 20 Sept 1884 was recorded upon her death by the state of Michigan, but 20 Sept 1885 was reported in her newspaper obituary.

FENNVILLE--Herbert E. Bodine, 69, of route 3 Fennville, died Thursday night at the Allegan Health Center following a long illness. He had lived in the area for 38 years. Surviving are his wife Luie, one sister, Mrs. Winnie Grove of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Chappell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fennville Cemetery.

FENNVILLE---Mrs. Luie Bodine, 81, route 3, Fennville, died Wednesday in the Community hospital, Douglas. Mrs. Bodine was taken to the hospital when she was found by a neighbor in a semi-conscious condition in her home after suffering a stroke. She was born Sept. 20, 1885 and spent her entire life in this area. Her husband Herbert died in 1958. A number of nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Chappell funeral home, Fennville. Burial will be in the Fennville cemetery.
