Notes for: Ora Jane Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

In 1910, Ora Bodine, age 20 and single, lived with her mother in Oklahoma City and worked there as a clerk in a dry goods store. In 1920, R. F. Parrott, a city contractor, lived with his family in Oklahoma City and city directories through 1938 reflect their residence there. In April 1940, R. F. Parratt, his wife Ora, and their daughter Jeanne, lived with Ora's mother in Dallas, Texas. In 1945, Ora Parratt lived in Dallas without her husband. When their daughter Jeanne married Everett George in Dallas on 26 Dec 1953, Jeanne was referred to only as the daughter of Mrs. Ora E. Parratt. As there is no record of Ralph Parratt's death in Texas, it appears he and Ora separated and/or divorced and he left the state.

From Canadian County, Oklahoma Marriage Records:
Ralph F. Parratt, 21, of Lodonville, Ashland County, Ohio AND Miss Ora E. Bodine, 20, of Oklahoma City, were married 7 Aug 1910 at El Reno, by G. Lyle Smith, Pastor, 1st Christian Church.
