James I. Bodine, 21 AND Irene Denney, 19, both of Oklahoma City, were married 26 Oct 1916 at Oklahoma City by O. R. Hairfield, pastor, Washington Avenue Baptist Church. [In 1900, Irene Denny, born Oct 1898 in OK, lived with her parents, Angelo & Laure E. Denny, in Luther, Oklahoma Co., OK Territory.]

James I. Bodine registered for the World War I draft in 1917 in Oklahoma City reporting he was married and employed as a mechanic. In 1920, James Bodine lived with his family in Oklahoma City where he was employed as a repairman and in 1930 lived in Shawnee, Pottawatomie County where he worked as a locksmith.

1940 Duncan, Stephens Co., OK: Jim I. BODINE 43 OK machinist, Irene G. 41 OK wife, Maxine HAMM 22 OK dau divorced, Mickie HAMM 3 OK gdau. Residence on 1 April 1935: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County.

In 1942, James Ignatious Bodine, a resident of Duncan, Stephens Co., Oklahoma, registered for the World War II Draft and reported he was born 6 Nov 1896 in Oklahoma County, Okla. He named Mrs. A. H. Denney of Oklahoma City, his mother-in-law, as his next of kin.

Irene Bodine died 11 May 1970 in Okmulgee County.
James I. Bodine died 10 Jan 1977 in Okmulgee County.

Services for James I. Bodine, 81, of Okmulgee, will be at 2 pm Friday at Wilmont Place Baptist Church, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Bodine, who died Monday, was born in Oklahoma City. Survivors include a son, Jim D., OKC; a daughter, Maxine Thaxton, Casper, WY; a brother, Ed, OKC; three sisters, Margie Crews, OKC; Wynette Krumtum, CA; and Grace Rudolph, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
